Course Planner - Holes 1 to 6

Hole 1
A good, challenging opening hole of medium length, which may look deceivingly straightforward off the tee, however, beware of the trees to the left and to the right. Also observe the mound 80 yards short of the green and the bunkers that guard the target area.
Hole 2
A long tee shot between the trees that guard the fairway on this long dogleg hole is necessary, and of paramount importance, if the player is to have sight of the green when playing the second shot. Out of bounds awaits the wayward shot to the left and behind the green.

Hole 3
The Stoke Index of this hole could deceive a player into thinking that the hole is easier than it actually is. As with most holes at Pwllheli, and for a variety of reasons, the tee shot is of paramount importance. However, having hit the large sloping green, great care has to be taken if one is not to take three putts.
Hole 4
Trees and gorse await the wayward tee shot to the right, and there are also trees to the left of the fairway and to the rear of the green
Hole 5
As the name of this hole suggests, there is a large pond about 30 yards short of the green. The fairway is again well guarded by trees, but a good drive will leave only a relatively short pitch to the green, and hopefully, a birdie
Hole 6
Again, trees line both sides of the fairway, which is relatively wide. The iron shot to the two-tiered sloping green, which is guarded by four bunkers, and has to be very accurate.
